BE WHAT OTHERS ARE NOT.
Not just a design philosophy, but as a business strategy.
I know, I know.
You see a restaurant, hotel or brand doing something gorgeous. A brilliant hotel interior, a buzzing restaurant, a hospitality concept everyone is talking about.
And you think: I want that too.
Sooo tempting.
Being a copycat feels safe. Someone else already tested it, right? It worked for them, so surely it will work for you?
Well my friend. That’s exactly the problem.
If your restaurant design, hotel interior or hospitality concept looks like everyone else’s, why should anyone notice you?
Go the other way.
Great hospitality design and interior architecture should give people something they haven’t experienced before. Be bolder. Weirder. More YOU.
Create personality! Create a space that makes people stop. Look twice. Take a photo. Walk through the door just to see what’s going on.
Different gets noticed. Guests love different, as long as it is a thought through experience. Different gets talked about. Different gets remembered.
And memorable experiential design turns restaurants, hotels and hospitality spaces into destinations people recommend, return to and bring their friends to.
So stop looking sideways. Be what others are not.
Your guests will notice.
And eventually, so will your bank account. Nice eh?
